Because we work with companies all around the world, we have the unique opportunity to work with many incredible vehicles and use cases.As an early team member, you will be instrumental in defining the foundations of our product and culture.If you are determined to take on the world's most complex challenges and help build an industry-defining company, this is the opportunity for you.As a Senior Applications Engineer, you'll be responsible for the successful integration of Phantom's teleoperation technology into customer products in the automotive, robotics, and logistics industries.Responsibilities* Perform on-site customer integration, remote technical troubleshooting.* Willingness to travel between 10% - 30% of the time.* Able & willing to do technical troubleshooting on production customer systems.* Serve as the face of Phantom Auto and manage customer relationship with project manager.* Perform hardware, software, and networking set-up of autonomous vehicle systems.* Serve as a problem solver and ensure the seamless deployment of Phantom hardware and software.* Ensure all system performance expectations are achieved. Log and relay all customer issues to our operations and engineering teams.* Understand and optimize customer/site workflows and ensure our product satisfies customer's use cases and workflows.* Conduct Acceptance Testing with the customer.Requirements* (BS/MS) Bachelor or Master of Science or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.* 3+ years of professional experience with Python, Javascript (ES6), or C++ (or Java).* Great interpersonal communication skills.* Previous experience working with customers.* Experience with networking.* Familiar with Wireshark, Tcpdump, and Linux tools (ss, netcat, etc)* Knows how to work with TCP and UDP protocols* Experience configuring Linux network devices and interfaces* Strong Linux background.Preferred* Previous experience deploying and integrating software with external customers.* Experience with electronics/hardware.* Experience in automotive or robotics.* 5-7 years of experience with C++, Python, and JS.* Experience with streaming multimedia (video, audio, data).* Familiarity with containers (Docker / Kubernetes).* Experience with Unix sockets.* Experience with WebSockets.Benefits* 401K* Employer-covered 99.9% of health premiums, free dental & vision* Catered lunches (when applicable)
