Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE The CHM Marketing Manager plays a vital role in
developing Museum marketing strategies to meet annual goals and
objectives. The role works closely with the Director of Marketing
in the management and execution of digital marketing activities,
fundraising campaign planning, promotional strategies and tactics
that drive Museum attendance, brand awareness, and online
engagement delivering the CHM value proposition to the member
community. They play a key role in the development of a strong
brand delivering clear compelling messages across all Museum---s
owned channels including website, emails, videos, blogs, and social
media. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identify, develop, and
execute integrated marketing campaigns to support Museum programs
and brand goals including 12 to 24 programs per year and several
media campaigns. Acts as the marketing liaison for staff across a
range of programs, exhibits, community initiatives, and brand
marketing campaigns this includes scheduling, vetting plans,
obtaining approvals and budgeting. Partners with cross-functional
museum staff, agencies, and partners to write, edit, and review
Marketing content and distribution in an effective and scalable
manner. Coordinates the activities on the Museum---s editorial
calendar and production schedule. Responsible for the management
and audience interaction on all Museum---s social media accounts.
Responsible for regularly posting text, video and images that
engage the Museum---s audience. Responsible for monitoring online
conversations with Museum mentions and address audience comments to
mediate the impact of negative reviews and share positive
testimonials. Analyzing Museum---s social media strategy and
identify strategic weaknesses, make recommendations for
improvements. Researching Digital Marketing trends and informing
management of changes that are relevant to the Museum---s marketing
activities. Work closely with the Director of Marketing to set key
performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns and social
campaigns such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes
and measuring a campaign---s performance against the KPIs. Support
media relations activities, including coordinating media
interviews, photography sessions, film shoots and press events.
Additional responsibilities as directed. REQUIRED SKILLS AND
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 3 year---s experience in a communications,
marketing, or program management position. Demonstrated experience
with media metrics, reporting and analytics. Demonstrated project
management skills and the ability to maintain project schedules and
budgets. Professional, personable, and engaging in written and
verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills, with
accuracy and attention to detail is paramount. Excellent
organizational skills; ability to plan and meet targeted project
and program deadlines. High level of individual initiative
required, including the ability to work with limited supervision
and resolve practical problems independently. Collaborative
attitude and ability to work in a team environment. Proficiency in
MS Office 365, particularly Word, Sharepoint, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to learn and become proficient in CRM (Salesforce) and
Marketing Automation (Pardot) Systems and for data entry and
reporting Ability to manage, operate, and lead projects in an
ambiguous environment. Strong skills in using social media
platforms and digital technologies to meet the goals of social
media campaigns. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with CRM
(Salesforce) and Marketing Automation (Pardot) Systems preferred
but not required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
but not required. REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor---s degree in
Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field
