Job Description:
Data movement bottlenecks are the single greatest limiting
factor in developing novel hardware for machine learning. We use
silicon photonics to break through these barriers, and we're
re-architecting the entire AI hardware stack in order to provide
multiple-order-of-magnitude improvements in bandwidth and
performance. We are creating a hardware/software solution that will
outperform the world's largest AI supercomputers.Luminous is backed
by Bill Gates, Luke Nosek, Ali Partovi and Dara Khosrowshahi, among
others.About the jobWe are currently searching for a Project
Manager to drive forward multiple company-wide programs,
coordinating activities across multiple teams and working closely
with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders. In this role,
you'll collaborate with key business stakeholders to provide
leadership and organization for complex, large-scale programs. You
will work cross functionally with both internal and external
stakeholders toensurethatprogramsstayonschedule,onbudget,andthatall
stakeholdershavevisibilityintotheimpactoftheirworkonthewider
program.What you will be doing: Work with business owners at the
management/executive level to rapidly assess and understand
business needs, define options, and translate requirements into
program objectives and scope. Develop and manage a detailed project
or program plan that takes into account all requirements,
constraints, resources, and deliverables associated with the
defined objectives. Drive the successful execution of initiatives
to ensure milestones and objectives are met while ensuring quality
by managing the scope, cost and schedule. Provide structure and
necessary processes without compromising execution or the needs of
the customer, product or team. Work with various cross-functional
teams to execute and implement plans. Aggregate, organize, and
communicate program and project information with internal
customers, stakeholders and extended teams. Develop critical
project documentation including business model diagrams, business
requirements, process documents, status reports, executive
communications, and project plans. Develop broad knowledge of all
the systems involved and use that to inform creative solutions when
roadblocks occur. Help executive leadership to identify and
mitigate technical and schedule risks, and to align resources with
key tasks. Requirements 4+ years of industry experience in a
business, operations project or program management role, ideally in
a small to mid-sized dynamic high-tech environment. Proven track
record leading large, multi-faceted, cross-functional, global
projects from kick-off to completion. Extensive experience working
with Finance, Business, Marketing and Engineering teams on complex
projects. Exceptional communication skills that are effective
across all levels of the organization, for both technical and
non-technical activities. Ability to simplify complex problems into
a more easily understood business context. Ability to comprehend
technical matters and grey areas that stretch outside of your
personal area of expertise, discover and manage risks to drive
programs to a successful conclusion. Thrives in a fast-paced, fluid
environment with aggressive timelines. Excellent strategic
thinking, analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills
along with solid business acumen. Skilled at seeking, filtering and
incorporating information from subject matter experts. The ideal
candidate would have a strong background in some form of science or
engineering. Formal credentials are less important than being able
to ask the right questions, identify the key actions, and ensure
