The Mortgage Funder assists and supports the Loan Operations
Department in the day-to-day activities of loan closing with the
boarding and funding mortgage Loans, creating new memberships in
the system, document package review and auditing, archiving and
quality control functions on all mortgage loans.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND REPSONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.1. Promotes and maintains a positive image of Bay Federal
at all times to all personnel, members, volunteers, vendors and the
community.2. Updates and validates the accuracy of all data within
the originating and funding system within specified time frames.3.
Prior to loan funding, reviews and clears conditions according to
specified guidelines within established service level agreements.4.
Conducts regular follow-up with vendors to ensure timely receipt of
outstanding conditions and/or information to achieve closing
service level agreements.5. Expedites the loan process by providing
Loan Officers and vendors with current loan status and information
relevant to the transaction.6. Ensures accuracy in boarding
mortgage loans in core banking system and ensuring wires are
submitted to the Fed within specified time frames.7. Prepares loan
packages for delivery to investors.8. Ensures that files are
complete so funded Mortgage Loan documents can be archived.9.
Tracks, audits and archives all trailing documents for closed
Mortgage Loan files.10. Assists in the preparation of HMDA
reporting process..11. Responsible for document imaging and system
update of all mortgage loan documents.12. Ensures the receipt of
all recorded DOT?s to file with original mortgage note.13. Ensures
the receipt of share certificates on Co-ops and follows up within
specified time frames.14. Works closely with Senior Mortgage Funder
and AVP, Mortgage Lending to track the Mortgage In/Out GL as well
as other GL?s, and ensures monthly balancing of these GL
accounts.15. Promotes teamwork to assist department in completing
assignments in a collaborative manner and achieving standards for
excellent member service. Responds appropriately to member and
vendor concerns.16. Takes the initiative to provide dependable,
accurate, friendly and reliable service to internal as well as
external vendors, customers and members.17. Investigates and
responds to member concerns or problems in a timely manner by
interaction with various departments.18. Participates in team and
other meetings for the purpose of training, discussion and process
improvement.19. Responsible for being knowledgeable and well versed
in all Credit Union products and services.20. Adheres to department
policies, procedures and activities in execution of the position?s
responsibilities.21. Performs other duties as assigned including
but not limited to special projects requiring extensive knowledge
of Credit Union and department operations, policies and procedures
and Safety/Compliance.22. Assists in the obtaining and tracking of
insurance for second mortgages.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Policy and
Procedure documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance

guidelines and processes.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Intermediate math skills, including an ability to calculate
interest, percentages, balance accounts, ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to create and interpret graphs, as well as analyze and
summarize large data files.PHYSICAL SKILLS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to stand, talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to walk; sit; use hands and
reach with hands and arms.

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor?s degree in Business or Finance is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in mortgage
- Knowledge of all Federal and State Lending Laws and Regulations
relating to mortgage lending.OTHER SKILLS:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs,
including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point; Internet
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally
and in writing, while working with customers (internal and/or
external, as appropriate) to ensure complete understanding and
comprehension of the intent and content of the communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a
